New to the Silks of Secondlife blog are the creations by the one and only Miss Kendrix Darkstone!

So this being Kendrix's first feature in the blog, I wanna give you a little background about her and her shop, GoDDeSS Creations! Kendrix puts ALOT of effort into making her creations affordable and accesible for all budgets. Theres camisks in her store for as little as 25L!

Sexy, yes? This is a bit more frilly that GoDDeSS Creations norm. You'll find alot of tattered camisks and chained silks alongside the panther leathers in the mainstore, but this is a nice change of pace. When I put it on it reminded me alot of some Indian culture with the pattern in the lace, and I knew that alot of southern desert cultures in Gor are often seen in SL to sample that sort of style.

Let me tell you too, in the half hour or so it took me to get my photographs done, I was approached by three seperate men asking about what I was wearing, telling me how erotic a garment I had on, even two requests to put my *coughs* non-existant Master out in the cold and replace him with them! Greetings Silks of SL'rs!!

In SL I go by Evelynn Jacobus, and I'm new to Silks of SL and coming to you with my first entry!

Little about myself first -- I've been on SL for over 2 years now and spent time in Gor in almost every role, and now out of it can't keep my paws out of the fashion. I still toss on my silks and wander the gorean stores even if I don't have anywhere to RP the role. I'm also a proud model for BINA, which is why I thought it fitting to have my first real post (not one where Aimee is lighting my butt on fire! ;) ) featuring a stunning camisk option from the talented BINA Slavewear designer Cymoril Lightfoot.

Without further adieu, I present to you, the 'Nicole' camisk!:

For those of you not familiar with BINA, let me explain what has me addicted. The Nicole camisk shown above comes with:

1- Camisk (Jacket Layer)

2- Thongs (Pant and Underpants layers)

2- Flower Tie Options (in contrasting colors that beautifully showcase the garment, one with flounce, one without)

1-Headband

4-Anklets (beaded in both gold and silver options, unscripted this time, so no bells!)

4-Bangles (same deal as the anklets)

2-SETS of Earrings (sensing a pattern here?)

1-Scripted Wheat Stem (that gives out more to all your friends when touched!)

Fallen Gods is by far one of the coolest places to look for stuff that is totally unique, edgy, and outside the box! They have an incredible line of silks to compliment their Elemental Skin line! `Hi! It's me.. Aimee coming to you live from somewhere over the SL rainbow where purple elephants fly...anyhow..* cough cough- groans and holds head*..

Yet another disclaimer: I'm writing this article after a night of 'OMFG why did I drink that!', so please excuse me if it's missing it's usual sparkle. Now on to the clothes:

I found the cutest little store. Its' called 'Urts and shoot'. Now, with a name that automatically made me think of rats and violence, I had no idea what to expect when I went in for the first time. But Oh Em Gee, her designs are fabulous. The prim work, and attention to detail, shown here in her silk "Blood Mondauge - Golden tasseled" shows a true dedication to her work. German designer, Melanie Burnstein, named the design Mondauge-which means eye of the moon. The name not only accentuated the beauty of the German language, but, also helped in the creation of the design; which you can see in the eye- like shape (I know I know, I probably could have put that better, but I couldn't think of anything else to say) shown on the front of the silk.

Just like any versatile designer, she does not only makes silks. This artistic crafter also creates wonderfully primmed work for Masters and panthers as well. Wintertag (another hottie-hottie German name that means Winter's Day) is a definitely 'keep-you-warm-while-capturing-those-wretched-men-and-elusively-eluding capture-yourself' type outfit. Now, of course, it doesn't show as much skin as we know you panther girls love to show (God I hope I don't get capped for this). But hey, winter's gotta come around sometime.. doesn't it? Like with the Mondauge silk, the attention to detail, especially around the belt area and the boots is amazing. YES,(gasp-gasp) IT COMES WITH BOOTS!!! Also, a wonderfully crafted, braided rope belt keeps it on your hips; while sporting an array of accessories that are sure to keep you prepared during those cold nights in the northern woods. The skirt comes in two lengths, yes, even a short one for those who have to show off those toned thighs. At 820L$ for two outfits and boots, it's a must must have for any discerning panther. (the cloak is not included but is available for 400L$ at her store)

And (dun da dun dun - damn, I should've had a V8 instead of that last sh.. cough..anyhow..) .. one more I just had to feature by her. Of course she has more goodies that I will blog about later, but this one was so hot, I just had to show it to you now. Sommerlachen, meaning Summer's Laughter is another silk/panther outfit (yes, ladies, it can be both, it can probably even pass for a summer kirtle in the North) that is deliciously primmed and fits you like a glove. With the helpful resizing script that she oh-so-generously threw in; making it fit your curves is no longer an 'edit linked parts' nightmare. God, if only more designers would do that, it would make SLife so much easier. The colorful fabrics and bead work are sure to capture attention, as you strut your stuff on the runways of Gor.

Melanie is a designer you should defiantly keep your eye out for. I, for one, am bouncing impatiently in front of her doors for the next design (yes, I'm bouncing and these freaking slave bells are annoying with a hangover).

Oh, by the way, one of my BFFs, illy, who is the other half of my hotness, found this absolutely fabulous bag on a Midnight Mania Board at the store, The Pampered Slave. Wether or not you make it to that Midnight Mania board depends on how fast you can get your half naked butt down there. But if you don't make it that's alright, she sells it in one of her very easy to use vendors. At 300L$, it's a scripted steal, coz it gives out FOOD! (candy and larma and cakes, Oh Mai!)

Now pardon me, if you will, while I take my lil bootie off and try to find a Jarl that will - ah... share his mead with me. I've heard it mentioned, a time or two, that it is a great cure for ..uhh.. over indulgence. I never get tired of seeing the beautiful work of Captive Elegance. Their clothing has so much depth and so much detail that it's just total eye candy! The Temptress I and II sets are another amazing design by CE, the Temptress I being without the top fringe and the Temptress II of course being with it. Both sets features a sexy and playful top with sunburst metal design and interesting halter design that is mimicked in the pretty armbands and the silk skirt hoop! OK! ... Firstly, I would like to introduce myself and tell you a bit about me. I'm Aimee. My kajira name currently is mia but most of my friends call me mimi, mimikins, or the addict. The last name, of course, is how I got this job. I am addicted to shopping in Second life. Naturally, silks are not all that I own; but, since I primarily play in Gor that's what I seem to find the most of in my inventory. WOOT! Second life has some fabby designers out there, so, of course, like every other blog out there - it's time to give credit where credit is due.

So TADA! - Mimikins Look book- Fait au Hasard.

I will not only be featuring the silks, camisks, and kirtles I have found in SL but also the fabby accessories and oh god ... oh god! - hair, shoes and even bags ( Yes, there are some great bags that slave can wear- duh SL is High fashion even when your cooter is out.), and anything and everything Gorean. YES!.. everything - even for the Free. So, keep your eyes open for the look that fits you.

Now, without further adieu, let me give my disclaimer; then on to the looks: I am random. I am known to be rather random, to even the most random person I know (yes Dee, I do mean You). As I was trying to come up with an idea for a theme, I decided randomness is best and that's what you will get. My first feature is CUTE! And ... OMG, I mean, CUTE and SEXAH! (No my caps key is not stuck that just how excited I was.) The name of this one is Nuri. It is a Multipurpose gypsy-like silk by Haven Designs. Now, when you first hit the grid in SL as a slave, you’re directed to a few stores for silks and camisks. Dee's store was on that list for me. Since then I have managed to find something in her store to fit every occasion. Nuri ( seen here in snow) caught my eye because of it's possible use as a kirtle as well; for those girls in the land of Jarls. So, stop by - have a look. Dee's store is very well structured with high quality, photo-realistic displays on the walls. The silk sells for $650L, $ 2900 for the pack of 8 ( Totally worth the whole package!) and it is simply a must have for those that like to look hot - in rich fabrics.

It's a look that comes with two skirts, and pants as well. Dee's hip hugging belt lines, as usual, always manage to capture the roundness of the slave belly and accent it with out totally exposing your poonanny ( Yes poonanny AND cooter in the same post ..I am a bad girl!) to everyone. (especially those sensitive Freewomen ) The infinitesimal beading on the top, skirt, and pants adds an intricate attention to detail as it takes this piece to other levels completely. Haven Designs was THE first store that I ever saw offer the "old school" corset style top that ended just at the bottom of the ribs, and it's a fabulous look! We've seen this echoed in a few of her more recent designs (last year or so) and I can't tell you how exciting it is to see her use this amazing look in new and different ways! The Avalon silks also have this element of style, but on closer inspection we find that the top is merely notched out giving the corset tummy effect! She softens the design up with a pretty pastel fabric that's a little bit deliciously coarse, and delicate little chain works with gem details about the arms and waist! The silk skirt doesn't go overboard but rather falls at the knees in front and angles down to the calves in the back! Hello ladies and gents! Here's the deal... I've been getting tons of requests to expand the blog. To make it bigger, better, with more to see! And I can't tell you how excited I've been just thinking about being able to do that! But most good ideas always hit a snag before they take off! Well here's the snag: I can't do it on my own guys. I need writers. Bloggers. People who care as much about gorean/fantasy wear as I do, who want to get out there and find the hottest designs and share them with all of SL! Of course finding someone who can write, photo, and interact well isn't as easy as it seems! But I'm taking applications for new bloggers at the moment. Qualifications are as follows:
-Must be good with people (we attend tons of events!)
-Must be able to write a good review with constructive criticism (we don't believe in tearing anyone down)
-Must be able to take a good photo (we want to put our best foot forward for the designers we are representing)
- Must be willing to put some honest effort into this blog

Now that being said... I do this blog for free. I don't get paid for it... nobody does. However, the designers are more than generous with giving review copies of their work to us for review. What a lovely image, regardless of what world you live and play in..

Almost as lovely as Arachne's new design, Tre Lune.

Cela has created a silk, feminine and delicate. Listen and you will hear the sounds of spring as the world awakens, stirring to life after a long winter.

She has accomplished all this in Tre Lune while still paying homage to the Three Moons of Gor, and the joy of spring and renewing life.

Normally, i avoid pale pink, but not this time. Tre Lune in pink is a celebration of not only spring but a celebration of being a girl. This immediately became my favorite color, with the scalloped hem, with the white trim on the scallops and the three moon detailing on the skirt and armbands.

Well, then again maybe my favorite color is chiffon..a shade of yellow so delicate that you can imagine it being as soft as a butterfly's wings.

Then again, the blue, magenta and salmon are equally lovely. Naturally, all of the sets come with multiple options such as nipple rings and the jewelry, which all follow the theme of the three moons.

Ah, decisions.

Whatever color you prefer, there is one that will wrap you in the joy of being a female, one that will make you look up to the sky as you stroll in the clean crisp air of spring and smile to the skies in gratitude.

We have some yummy goodness from a new designer ladies!

A most aptly named set of silks, called Seduction and it's from Priya Blaisdale at Zyba. This set invokes whispers of the Mideast and visions of girls belly dancing, Masters watching appreciatively. Listen close and you can hear the music, the rhythmic pounding, the..oh uh...um. See, its Seduction, what can i say?

The Seduction set that Priya sent me is a beautiful shade of dark red, and absolutely overflowing with detail and accessories such as jewelry.

The set consists of extras such as shoulder drapes, and a stunning gold armband set with dark red stones. As an added bonus the armband and skirt are both resize scripted. I had to make the armband a bit bigger and so help me i heard a choir of angels singing when i clicked on that script.

Seduction also has an absolutely beautiful multicolored stone that accentuates the set throughout, appearing in both the top and skirt.

I hope this set is the first of many for Priya Blaisdale!

This cami has your standard one piece cami (which in this case has a pretty diamond pattern) but she totally gives it some plush effect with a pretty sheer shawl tied gracefully over one shoulder! I just love it! Awesome shading and detailing with the little wrinkles and everything! And my favorite by far is the Relay for Life special edition (L$200) with it's awesome eyepopping color duo! Colors available are: Blue, Green, Purple, Red, and Silver! L$200 per color set!

G Spot Love Letter Kirtle!

What can I say about this set? I'm definitely a new G-Spot fan I can tell you that! I was blown away by their line of kirtles and camis that are not only pretty but have alot of character to them! It's those simple little details that can tell a story with a set! The Love Letter kirtle is a soft blend of different pinks and cream colors which give it an ultra-romantic feel and then you see the pretty inkblotted handwriting all over the fabric! The set looks as if she took all of the love letters to her Master and pieced them together to make a kirtle! It's a really fun concept and little things like the braided rope belt that is in this neat square pattern or the pallette and paint brushes that are tied on to the skirt that just make this set come alive! Also comes with matching rope armbands! I hope you'll be as impressed with this design as I was, and I can promise there will be alot more G-Spot designs to come on this blog! L$325 for the set! And much kudos to designer Jalilah Jewell for her awesome work!

Well, the first I wanted to share with you is the Roawenwood Harvest Bag! I thought this was sooo cute!!! It attaches to the chest and gives you an option of six different fruits to wear while you harvest! And you can use it anywhere! You're not confined to a poseball! Plus it's so well made with great texturing! It's a real bonus to an outfit and it makes for fun rp! L$195 for the bag! By the way, this lady Searlait Nitschke is a furniture and chore making genius!
